Hello again folks, An update for Pink stumps day.
Saturday 18th of February we will be hosting the pink stumps day at McPherson park. This coincides with week one of the A1 clash Vs Bayside Muddies.
The club has been in contact with the various local Councillors and State members, Cr Amanda Cooper of Bracken Ridge has organised a photo and story to be published into the Bayside Star newspaper, The Hon. Vicky Darling MP has indicated she will make an effort to come down during the day, she has shared the information via facebook. Cr Victoria Newton of Deagon has also shared the information via her Facebook page.
So far we have confirmed we will be having a Sausage sizzle throughout the afternoon with all money raised going to the McGrath Foundation We will also be looking at having a raffle of a hamper stuffed full of PINK products from Champagne to chocolates and anything in between.
For all players and club persons the morning of the game will have a BBQ breakfast going, and ask that to receive some food you make a donation to the cause.
Stay tuned for updates right here, as I’m sure we will have more in store.

Now onto other news :
We will be hosting our Winter 2011 and Summer 2011/12 trophy night at the club house 146 Denham St, Bracken Ridge this year. We have decided to move it back to the club as last years event at Brighton bowls club was disappointing, although a great location, we need good numbers to turn up to make it worth while.
Where : Bracken Ridge DCC Club rooms Denham St
When : 31st March 2012
Time : start 6.30PM
As usual there will be food supplied, and discounted drinks, a cost (if any) for entry will need to be confirmed.
We also plan to host the Dave Cromb Memorial 20/20 during the afternoon of the 31st of March. I am now accepting nominations to play in the match.
We have a large shield to present to the winner of the match, the teams which will be selected from the nominated names out of a hat – to avoid a side full of A graders will play as the Presidents XI and the Secretaries XI
We will have an official umpire on the day, but remember it is a game played to signify the remembrance of the Late Dave Cromb.
Please let me know (James) if you are interested in playing. Please note if you nominate, you are expected to show up, please let me know with enough notice if you cannot play. This will avoid sides being short a player or two.
Also a quick reminder some members still owe membership fee’s and match fee’s. If you could pay these ASAP it would be GREATLY appreciated.
